The A ride report will be split into two parts. The group stayed together
along Taylor Store Road, the Batchelor Road hill, Barnes Hill Church Road
and Old Carriage to Bend of the River. At BOTR, Bob L, Stardude, Big Wally
and the Kaiser split to add some miles. We headed out BOTR where Tim
threatened to turn the hills over to Bob L, but held the pull to Halifax.
Solid pulls by Bob L and the Kaiser took the group into Elm City. Wally
took over the pull after a short stop at the C Store and never gave it up
until we hit DD. In a very unCoW like move, no one attacked on Lake Wilson
road. 40 miles at a 19.5 average.
Very good day to be on the bike for extended miles.

A large herd of 14 left DD for,parts unknown. Marian and Sherry joined the
group. I had time constraints due a pork shoulder on charcoal. W Nash,
Cliftonville, Vaughn chapel sandy cross. The main herd turned for batchelor
hill while Marian, Sherry and I kept on to hwy 58 and turned for home.
Marian pulled the entire hwy 58 section to DD. She is fast becoming a force
to be reckoned with. Will defer to someone from the lead group for the A
ride report.
24.4 miles average just under 18. Sherry rode very well, having not been on
the bike for several months.
