A group of 5 CoWs left DD this afternoon for a tour of Lucama. The Lawyer, Stardude, Big Wally, Doc and Bob L headed out Nash to Packhouse/Bloomery/Lamm/Old Raleigh/St Rose to Wiggins Mill. Doc had short day planned and headed back home as the group headed down Scott’s Church Rd. The group stopped briefly at the C store in Lucama before heading back to Wilson via Radford, Old Raleigh and Airport. After a strong leadout by Nick to the base of Target Hill, Tim attacked and took the polka dot jersey. 30 miles at a 19.5 mph pace with strong pulls by all.
The weather was not ideal with moderate wind, cool temperatures and on and off drizzle. Still, it was a great day to be on the bike. --
