A strong group of 6, Doc, DC, John, Bob L, Lula headed out into a strong n/NW wind. DC and Bob L pulled strong out Hwy 58. Due to traffic concerns the group had to hug the shoulder eliminating any drafting. Monster pull by John on hwy 58. Left turn on old Springfield directly into the head wind. DC and John turn on graham Brantley for extra miles,,the rest mount a massive sprint past the old bailey pit bulls, who were busy eating dinner and gave us not a look. Pulls strategically planned so Lula does not get packhouse. Bob L and Doc do their best Lula imitation and we roll 23/25 on packhouse. Easy 20 mph ride into to DD for hot chocolate. Weather channel threw us a curve and the wind never sifted so there was very little tail wind, cross wind most of the time when not a head wind. Great day to be on the bike. Birdman
