A test version of Perl version 5.24.1-1 is available on Cygwin. This is
the first upstream maintenance release for Perl 5.24.
Note

This release is intended primarily for Cygwin package maintainers to
check compatibility and eventually build package updates in preparation
of a general release. Using it requires manual intervention of the
setup process and building your own perl distributions.
Depending on the upstream release schedule it is expected that a general
release of an updated Perl on Cygwin will either happen when 5.24.2 or
5.26.0 gets released.
