stow 2.4.1+5.40-1 is now available in Cygwin. stow 2.4.1 has minor bug fixes since the previous release, 2.4.0. See the upstream NEWS file[1] for the list of changes. This release runs with perl 5.40, which is the latest version of perl in Cygwin.
stow manages the installation of local software packages by creating sets of symlinks from the installed location (e.g. /usr/local) to a stow directory (e.g. /usr/local/stow/emacs) where the real files live. This allows you to keep packages separate, while making them appear to be installed in the same place. Andrew E.
