The following package has been uploaded to the Cygwin distribution:
* ddrescue-1.29-1 GNU ddrescue is a data recovery tool. It copies data from one file or block device (hard disc, cdrom, etc) to another, trying hard to rescue data in case of read errors. Ddrescue does not truncate the output file if not asked to. So, every time you run it on the same output file, it tries to fill in the gaps. https://www.gnu.org/software/ddrescue/ddrescue.html This is an update to the latest upstream release: https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-ddrescue/2025-01/msg00000.html Cygwin specific: The workaround for reads failing with EACCES added in 1.28-2 has been removed because it no longer needed since Cygwin 3.5.1: https://cygwin.com/pipermail/cygwin-announce/2024-February/011568.html https://cygwin.com/git/?p=newlib-cygwin.git;a=commit;h=4af5f9d The source package supports reproducible builds.
