pv 1.10.3-1 is now available in Cygwin. This release includes minor bug fixes
and translation updates since the previous Cygwin release, 1.10.0-1. See
https://www.ivarch.com/programs/pv.shtml#news for the list.

pv (Pipe Viewer) is a terminal-based tool for monitoring the progress of data
through a pipeline. It can be inserted into any normal pipeline between two
processes to give a visual indication of how quickly data is passing through,
how long it has taken, how near to completion it is, and an estimate of how
long it will be until completion.

For pv fun watching your computer send zeros to the bit bucket, try

pv --stop-at-size --size 100G < /dev/zero > /dev/null
