Sounds good.  Matches the default Cygwin net distro configury.

What about using the same directory name for both, either

/etc/apache, /var/apache

or 

/etc/httpd, /var/httpd,

or 

/etc/www, /var/www.

I like httpd most but www is probably easier to remember.
