What if I want to install init just to look at the included readmes? Or if I want to install it as a service with slightly different settings? Or simply dislike my computer doing too much without telling me about it? For these reasons, and for parity with other Cygwin packages, I strongly prefer a user-run init-config script along the lines of ssh-host-config, to a postinstall script. Max.
