For several months, the setup.exe v2.249.2.5 program for cygwin has been wanting to replace a newer version of perl, 5.8.0-1, with an older version of perl, 5.6.1-2
Is there something wrong with the setup program or is there something wrong with perl 5.8.0-1? I looked for this issue in the FAQ as well as in the cygwin-apps mail list archive for Nov, Dec 2002 and Jan 2003 but didn't find anything mentioned. I mainly pull from the mirrors.rcn.net website. Also, I would like to request an enhancement to the setup.exe window such that it is resizable. The cygwin distribution is gaining lots of packages and giving users the capability to open up the window to suit their needs would help dramatically during package selection - not to mention the fact that you currently have to scroll horizontally to see the one liner package comments.
