I am the maintainer for CMake. I have held off on the next release of cmake because I was waiting for cygwin 1.5.x to stabilize. However, for CMake I am thinking that building it against 1.5.x may not be in the best interest of its users. If I build against 1.3.x, then people can use cmake with either 1.5.x or 1.3.x. Also, they will not be forced to go to 1.5.x just to get the next version of cmake. My question is, will 1.3.x application still get uploaded? I really do not want to have to maintain both a 1.5.x and a 1.3.x version. What are other packages doing?
