Yes, I just realized that I did this, too, in my response. The use of the email address in the "On Tue, ... wrote:" is for the same reason as was previously mentioned. If the From: address does not contain a real name, then mutt defaults to using only the email address. I think we need a new acronym for "Please configure your mailer to provide a full name in From" PCYMTPAFNIF but I suspect all of this email client stuff is just a losing battle. cgf
