It probably should, as the current setup source doesn't contain the string
"postremove" at all. :-)

Not as scripts they don't.  Frankly, I don't see what has to be done after
the package files are removed (and couldn't be done in the preremove
phase).

As well it should.  There used to be postremove support, but I think it
got removed more than 3 years ago.
