When using setup.exe this morning, I got complaints from tar when unpacking octave-forge: "error: unknown (or unsupported) file type `K'". I believe this is coming from tar, meaning you packaged with a newer version of tar than cygwin's current 1.13.25, using options that the older tar chokes on. Hopefully, this will go away when I get tar 1.15.1 working (I'm still tracking down a textmode issue), but in the meantime, you may want to consider repackaging. - -- Life is short - so eat dessert first!
