Just for fun, I added ftp://sunsite.dk/projects/cygwinports to my
Cygwin server list, and installed Amarok. Probably som other package
were installed because of dependencies.

To start Amarok in Windows 2000, I do:

Click on the Cygwin Bash icon
go to the bash shell
startx
go to the x-term
amarok

Result:
The Amarok splash screen appears.
The following text appears in the xterm:

$ amarok
Amarok: [Loader] Starting amarokapp..
Amarok: [Loader] Don't run gdb, valgrind, etc. against this binary!
Use amarokapp.

Three processes apper in the Windows Task manager:
amarok.exe
amarok.exe
amarokapp.exe

The splash screen disapppears and the processes disappears in a few seconds.

I haven't seen any warnings or error messages.

If I just type
 amarokapp.exe
in xterm, no splash screen appears, and I get the prompt back in a few
seconds. No warnings.

Is this the right place to send a bug report?
Should I make the bug report in another format?

Best regards,
Helge Stenström
