Hi, today I updated KDE 3.5.7 to 3.5.8 (was the update announced here?) and I couldn't launch KDE from my custom batch file anymore. I started the X server from a shell and startkde to see errors and this is what I got:
startkde: Starting up... start_kdeinit: No such file or directory startkde: Could not start kdeinit. Check your installation. Warning: connect() failed: : No such file or directory startkde seems to start start_kdeinit_wrapper which should start start_kdeinit but cannot find it - which doesn't make sense to me as all these KDE launcher applications are in /usr/bin. The interesting thing is that when I change the directory to /bin before launching KDE then everything works fine. Anyone who could help me solve this mystery?
