I have installed KDE but cannot get it to run. :-( startx still starts up that minimalist X shell window.
Google has found me all kinds of answers, none of which make any sense... E.g., change the twm line in /usr/lib/X11R6/startxwin.sh There is no such line, and that file specifically says do NOT do that if you use -multidisplay, which I am using, and would like to use... I can't even find a 'startkde' to throw into my .xinitrc as another suggested. I know there is SOME file somewhere I can edit to set the default window manager, but can never find the silly thing... -- Richard Lynch _______________________________________________________ The information in this email or in any file attached hereto is intended only for the personal and confiden- tial use of the individual or entity to which it is addressed and may contain information that is propri- etary and confidential.
