Hi everyone,

After 2 weeks of confusion I've finally found my way to cygwin ports. Those
of you who are subscribed to cygwin.com might know that I'm trying to obtain
a cygwin compatible copy of libjack (and libjack-devel).

I've already read through some past archives and realised that I need to add
the URL ftp://sunsite.dk/projects/cygwinports to my list of mirrors in
cygwin's setup.exe. I've also realised that I need to run it with the -X
option to stop an annoying error about setup.ini.

The first time I ran setup (with my new URL) I got a message about
setup.ini being older than the one I was already using. I opted to continue
and I've now reached the stage of seeing a list of things I can download -
but I still can't find jack or jack-devel. Assuming the packages are
listed in alphabetical order, I've looked for 'libjack' and also
'jack-audio-connection-kit' but neither of them seems to be listed. What
could I be doing wrong? I haven't actually downloaded anything from
cygwin-ports. I'm just using the standard setup.exe that came with cygwin.
Should I have installed something from cygwin-ports first?

Thanks,

John
