Hello - I posted this question about 4 hours ago but it doesn't seem to have
reached the list and nor has it been bounced back to me. Therefore I've
decided to re-register and post it again. Sorry if this causes a duplicate
thread.

I have a question about the packages that I find in cygwin-ports (and other
cygwin repositories, for that matter). Does anyone happen to know if the
packages are typically built with the compiler option "-mms-bitfields"? If
I understand it correctly, that flag would make any structs align in
accordance with Microsoft's 8-byte alignment standard. From what I've
observed I suspect they usually aren't but I'd like to know for sure.

Thanks,

John
