Well, what I'm talking about is using some form of Linux desktop as the 
system shell, so that the Win-native apps would run along side the 
ported *NIX apps (similar to how "seamless" works now, just with a 
different desktop).  More of a desire to keep my Gnome environment in 
place while still being able to run Win apps that simply won't run in Wine.
