Good evening, I've been happily using many of the packages in cygwinports installed with setup.exe, but there are a few apps I would like to try to use a more recent version. I assume I'm better off starting with the latest .cygport file for the app rather than starting from scratch, but I would rather not clone the entire cygwin-ports git repository. Is there a recommended approach for this? Can I clone only from the application level? Should I just pull the necessary files from the web git interface?
