Sorry - I obviously misunderstood what cygstart is for - my bad.   
However, is do you really need cygstart to run setup.exe?  My shortcuts  
for setup (both the original and the one modified with the -K for  
cygports) do not use cygstart and seem to have been running fine - is  
there any reason I should change that?
