Hello,

after not having used Cygwin for quite a while I was glad, when I discovered
that gnome programs can now be used too.

After installing cygports, putting
dbus-launch gnome-session
in my .xinitrc and executing
startxwin -- -nolock
X seems to work fine: I can call xterm, etc.

However, gnome-terminal gives me the error:
(gnome-terminal:2516): GLIB-GIO-ERROR **: No GSettings schemas are installed on
the system

Reinstalling the schemas didn't help.

With strace I can see that gnome-terminal is looking for schemas under
/usr/local/share
while they are installed under
/usr/share

Symlinking glib-2.0 there didn't help either.

Greetings

Neven
