Haven't I answered such a question last week? Anyway: The cygwin/xfree 
Xserver does not support the XF86Config file. To use the fontserver you
have to start XWin with the parameter -fp tcp/hostname:7100 maybe the unix
notation will work too, but I have not verified it.
