I'm getting difficulties to start an X server on CygWin under WinNT. I've installed XFree86 using the standard setup.exe installer.
Here is what I'm getting when I launch startxwin.sh ~$ startxwin.sh + export DISPLAY=LAINS-1:0.0 + PATH=/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/cygdrive/c/Program Files/Com mon Files/Clarify/bin:/cygdrive/c/orant/bin:/cygdrive/c/WINNT/system32:/cygdrive /c/WINNT:/cygdrive/c/WINNT/System32/WBEM:/cygdrive/e/orant/bin:/cygdrive/c:/cygd rive/c/windows:/cygdrive/c/command:/cygdrive/c/Borland/Bde :/usr/X11R6/bin:/home /administrator/scripts:. + rm -rf /tmp/.X11-unix + XWin + twm + xsetroot -solid aquamarine4 The process XWin seems to hang and, of course, when I kill it, startx returns. + xterm -sl 1000 -sb -rightbar -ms red -fg yellow -bg black -e /usr/bin/bash + exit XIO: fatal IO error 104 (Connection reset by peer) on X server "LAINS-1:0.0" after 0 requests (0 known processed) with 0 events remaining. XIO: fatal IO error 104 (Connection reset by peer) on X server "LAINS-1:0.0" after 0 requests (0 known processed) with 0 events remaining. Is there anything wrong with my config? Any log file I should check? After several failures, I could manage to start XWin only once (running XWin.exe directly also), but I can't get it to work again, now that I have rebooted Windows.
