I'm sure the answer to this must be obvious, but I can't see it! I run: $ X -screen 0 900 700 -query smpd9.uk.ba.com -from 151.2.154.65 -fp tcp/smpd9.uk.ba.com:7100& [1] 944
to start up the Solaris logon screen. Then run: $ xhost + & [2] 1496 to allow server connections. However after entering my password the logon screen seems to be restarted and I'm prompted for my username again. I also get: $ Xlib: connection to "151.2.154.65:0.0" refused by server Xlib: No protocol specified Do I need to configure something on the Solaris box to give authority? Thanks, JS. xhost: unable to open display "151.2.154.65:0" _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com
