Hi, Now you can download some prebuilt packages from http://www.sourceforge.net/project/cygnome
Currently only core libraries and a brunch of applications are available I've packaged all the core libraries into a single tarball cygnome-libs_1.4b1-x.tar.bz2 The same to cygnome-apps. But lib*.a in cygnome-libs-devel were stupidly stripped by me. (I'm a really newbie,<g>) So at present you can not build GNOME application by yourself with it. This sunday I'll upload the other packages, including almost the whole GNOME 1.4 desktop (except Nautilus) and Sawfish, gnumeric etc. Note: In fact, nearly all the packages are built with the hints and patches distributed by Steven O'Brien at http://homepage.ntlworld.com/steven.obrien2. All that I did are just building them, packaging them and uploading then there. (That doesn't mean he is responsible for the bugs and defects in this port). Still is there no one would like to help me? Sorry for the AD of operamail.
