OR,
paste the following into a batch file, then put an icon to the batch file on your desktop (or your start menu, etc... the possibilities are endless!).

set path=%PATH%;C:\cygwin\bin
cd c:\cygwin\home
c:\cygwin\usr\X11R6\bin\run xterm -display :0.0 -e bash --login

local xterm, to the cygwin entry in the start-menu?
