After the recent update to X startup icon change, I get garbled icon on the task-bar, task-tray and 'Toggle' window (window that shows up when Alt-Tab is pressed).
Can you look at this icon, does it look garbled?
Can you swith your screen resolution to 256 and 16 colors and see if they are garbled too?
