Hmm... leads me to suspect some other problem on your system.
I will investigate further, for example by rebuilding XWin from sources and running it through GDB. Another difference could be that I am using Windows 2000 and the screenshot seemed to be from Windows XP.
It is usually a red herring to suspect the version of Windows has something to do with it. A debug version of XWin would be a good idea.
