I read everything, Cygwin/X related, just in case someone has a good idea or patch to plagiarize :) I don't build Cygwin/X but build my own project's xserver X*i*g, which should not be discussed on this mailing-list as it's not in orbit around cygwin1.dll :) X**mg shares its codebase with Cygwin/X and sometimes, surprisingly, even has the same problems. In fact I thought this problem was specific to my server due to it's build environment. It was only when Cygwin/X moved forward and caught the bug that a trace leading to a fix looked feasible.
