Chris,
just a thought, since we are talking about a laptop. have you tried
hooking up an external mouse and see if that works?
I'm guessing that the laptop mouse & a regular mouse are registered
differently on a laptop .....
As I said just a thought and I am by NO MEANS any kind of authority
