Background and title-bar

Is it possible to:

1.  Set the background when running XWin.exe -screen 0 1024x768x16
-query <some.ip.address>
so that the XDM provided prompt sits over something other than the
default black and white background?

2.  Change the titlebar (to include the ip address / name of the machine
being connected to)?
