adding fonts

Dear Cygwin-Xfree developers


 I just installed the package on my PC and was able to run the first
X-session.

 My problem is to run a package which needs its own set of fonts, which
I have availabe in BDF format.

 How should I proceed stepwise to
      a) change the fonts in a shape which will be recognised
      b) add them to the Xserver
      c) startup again
