Some update of gnuplot changed the way Sixel graphics are produced on the "sixel" terminal (e.g. mintty): - An explicit cursor home sequence is injected before the actual Sixel output, so the graphics are always placed in the top-left corner rather than inline at the cursor position which is much more useful.
- The graphics pixel size is constant, not adapted to the terminal size.
- The graphics background is forced to white; it used to be possible to generate transparent output on the terminal background.
- The font has changed.
See the screenshot on Mintty — Cygwin Terminal emulator <https://mintty.github.io/> to compare, made 5 years ago.
Are these upstream changes or patches in the cygwin package?
Is there any way to configure the mentioned aspects?
