The fontconfig issue was closed as a duplicate The other issue is
fixed in git. Presumably the fix will be in the next release.
A simpler way to demonstrate the problem is to run
fc-match Inconsolata
The bug causes it to match a different font, even if you have the
Inconsolata font installed.
