C: on / type system (textmode) (As I said, I didn't initially install cygwin on this machine, so I don't know where the spurious mount came from.) After changing /etc/ssh* back to SYSTEM's ownership, and removing the mount, I can execute /usr/sbin/sshd from the "at /interactive" SYSTEM bash. Starting service as SYSTEM still fails: sshd : PID 929 : starting service `sshd' failed: execv: 1, Operation not permitted. but I definetely got forward. Thanks. > P.S.
