I wonder if this has become sufficiently frequent to merit addition to the FAQ. I've seen this question in various forms at least 4 times in the past three months (with two of those relating to PostgreSQL)... Also, can anyone think of a way to emit a more informative Cygwin-specific error message (that mentions cygserver) whenever ENOSYS is returned?..
