mutt is configured now --- I believe i missed the colon in the "my_hdr From: ..." in
my original attempts.
working with /etc/muttrc:
my_hdr From: Reid Thompson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
and /etc/ssmtp/ssmtp.conf:
FromLineOverride=YES
