Does gzip support multiple processors under windows 2000?

Hey,

Im running gzip-1.24 under win 2k and it doesnt seem to be taking advantage
of all the processors in my boxen.
It only seems to use one. Is there a compile /configure option I can use to
enable multiproc support? maybe a patch?
