Thanks for the info. I wasn't expecting anything one way or another and
suspected what you say about non-Cygwin programs. It wasn't an issue with
the Bxx Cygwin as it used c:/ as /, so I didn't notice any problem.
Anyway, I'll use Ernest's cygpath suggestion for the moment and find the
"Cygwinized emacs", as you say.
