I have looked in a number of places but have failed to understand why 'ls > files' produces something like this:
ESC[0mESC[01;34mbinESC[0m/ ESC[01;34mdocESC[0m/ ESC[0mfilesESC[0m ESC[01;34mi686-pc-cygwinESC[0m/ ESC[01;34mincludeESC[0m/ etc etc What is the issue?
