I'm getting the error message "Couldn't reserve space for Cygwin's heap (0x109E0000) in child, cygheap,Win32 error 8" while trying to run a fortran program that requires about 300 Mb of memory on a Windows 98 machine that has 64 Mb of physical memory. Can this be done? If not, what is the minimum memory I would need, and which version of Windows? I am assuming the use of virtual memory. The program compiles under cygwin/g77 and runs fine on small problems, but fails when I increase the array size to accomodate large problems.
