Wait a minute. I'm not sure if I understand you right. You installed the service using an administrator account, right? Installation was successful, right? The service was installed... how? To run as LocalSystem or to run under some other user account (let's say, A)? Then you tried to start the service under again another user account (say, B). Which means, there are two questions to ask. Regardless if A and B are the same account. - Has B the permission to start and stop services? - Has A the permission to run services?
