Looks like our military has decided that dissent is a crime which
should be dealt with by murder.

International ANSWER is planning a rally at the entrance to a naval
base here in San Diego, and I just got this message from a friend
today. She confirmed to me after this that her source s very
reliable.

Subject: [sdcpjevents] Critical Safety Alert

Please keep this in mind regarding the ANSWER event on Feb. 15:

My friend works at the 32nd Street Naval base. He told me that, if anyone
crosses the blue line or gets on the pedestrian bridge there, and the guards
feel the least bit threatened, they have been given direct orders to "shoot
to kill." And remember, these guards tend to be new and inexperienced, as
many are only 18 or 19 years old... Take care of yourselves, okay?

Peace,
Joni

P.S. I have sent this to the Events group and will also send it to ANSWER.
Perhaps it (or a similar message) should be sent to the entire Coalition?
(I'll leave this up to Carol)...
