Globalwin has just introduced an external hard drive enclosure (http://www.htpcnews.com/main.php?id=dorri_1) with built-in 40-bit DES encryption (and if it's the HW I think it is, that's 40-bit DES in ECB mode, and the vendor generates the key for you).
