What is mental masturbation anyway? I don`t know if I am really getting
a frousy odour of anti-intellectualism and cyncism here- in this"
psychobabble"
and so-call "mental masturbation" sarcasm coming from R.A.Hettinga-whose
seems to have taken a gleeful delight in trying to beat down the life of
ideas in
human thought.
I have not been part of this discussion but I have been on and off reading
the
posts. Finally I had to ask what is mental masturbation as oppose to other
forms of onanism.
I am old enough to remember during the 60`s the conservative and rightwing
politicians
and others used to call academics and intellectuals pointy heads. ala Barry
Goldwater, and the
then mayor of Chicago Mayor John Daley.
                                                                   with
friendly greetings Gil Tucker
