I know nothing about this case. I just happened to be listening to the relay of bbc news concerning a French bank-card case. It seems that an engineer, whose name is something like Serge Ujnish (undoubtedly wrong spelling), discovered a flaw in a French card system, & unable to make a deal with the infrastructure authorities, demonstrated it by buying Metro tickets. He then was boiled in oil by the banks in the French legal system, sentenced today. I can't find anything about the case on the bbc news web site. Maybe the case is well-known to others but I hadn`t heard of it before, & the details as described in the news report made it sound like a gross miscarriage of justice was taking place.
