As I'm sure Jim will point out, he doesn't modify the postings that he passes on. He just modifies those which are distributed to subscribers of his mailer node. The annoyance comes not so much from the addition of the "CDR" tag to messages, but from the fact that when he adds that the replies from people subscribing to his node have "CDR" stuck in the subject header. Or so it seems, anyway. As a result, as Bryan points out, reading threads rapidly become a pain in the ass.
