This is outrageous. The FBI does not have the right to pick and choose
which Americans to whom they will make information available. As a
government agency they have the responsibility to provide information
in a nondiscriminatory fashion.
Users of Freedom are breaking no laws. Their right to anonymity
and privacy is fully protected by the United States Constitution.
They have every right to access U.S. government data.
Just because FBI management may oppose the politics behind Freedom, or
may wish the technology did not exist, they do not have the authority
to block those addresses. Such policies are a clear violation of the
Bill of Rights.
Let's see this in the headlines of Wired and the other online news
publishers. Anyone care to place bets on how soon the FBI will be forced
to reverse this policy, once it is exposed to the light of day?
